Raebareli,— The Orientation Program 2025 at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Raebareli, commenced today with great enthusiasm. A total of 108 new students registered on the very first day of this three-day orientation program. The event began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony in the presence of Guest of Honour Mr. Sumit Jaiswal, Senior Vice President, Info Edge; Director Prof. (Dr.) Jonalee D. Bajpai; Joint Director Mr. Amitava Choudhary; Campus Academic Coordinator Mr. Praveen Srivastava; and the Centre Coordinator – Foundation Program.
Campus Academic Coordinator Mr. Praveen Srivastava welcomed the students and faculty members, stating that the students have taken a significant step towards building their future. Joint Director Mr. Amitava Choudhary highlighted the new experiences and opportunities that await the students in the upcoming academic journey.
Director Prof. (Dr.) Jonalee D. Bajpai extended a warm welcome to the students and appreciated the trust and confidence shown by the parents and students in NIFT Raebareli. She spoke about the vibrant student life at the campus and emphasized the institute’s achievements, including its state-of-the-art infrastructure which ranks among the best across NIFT campuses in India. She proudly shared that NIFT Raebareli secured the first position in placement across all NIFT centres nationwide.
During the orientation, students were introduced to the academic structure, institute rules and regulations, and the various platforms for student engagement and development. The orientation also included presentations on student-led clubs such as the Literary Club, ESE Club, Sports Club, and others, which play a vital role in encouraging student participation and holistic growth.
As part of the day’s events, Guest of Honour Mr. Sumit Jaiswal conducted an insightful session with NIFT faculty members on Design Thinking and shared various strategies to help students enhance their personal and professional portfolios.
The orientation program set a positive tone for the new academic year and aims to prepare the students for an enriching and transformative journey at NIFT Raebareli over the next three days.
